Elite 12 Series Paper Jams

GCC has identified a component within the Elite 12 Series printer's paper tray that, if improperly adjusted, can result in paper jams and multiple pages feeding. This bulletin outlines the proper adjustment of this part.

1. Remove the paper tray from the printer and remove the two retaining screws from the front panel of the tray.

   

2. Lift off the front panel of the tray as shown.

   

3. Remove the screw holding the white pinch roller assembly in place and remove the assembly from the tray.

   

4. Holding the base of the metal part, bend the roller forward slightly.

   

5. Re-install the roller onto the tray, making sure that the white roller is in place nearly touching the plastic base of the tray. If the roller is still too far away from the base, remove the screw and bend the roller forward again.

   

6. Replace the front cover of the tray and reinsert the two retaining screws by reversing the steps for disassembly in steps 1 and 2.
