Envelope Printing
PLP II/IIs, BLP II/IIs, BLP Elite, BLP Eclipse 4 and 8

While GCC's laser printers are designed to print on a variety of paper stocks, some types produce better results than others. This is especially true for envelopes. Generally speaking, envelopes which meet the following requirements are preferred:
  • Smooth (but not slick) surface
  • Rectangular flap
  • Low cotton content
  • Lighter weight stock (20-24 lbs.)
In addition, the following tips will also help to produce better results:
  • Use of a lighter weight font
  • Indentation of the return address
The following envelope types, available from Paper Direct (1-800-A PAPERS), produce favorable results:
  • Strathmore; 20 lb.; natural white
  • Desktop Design; 28 lb.; white
  • Firebrites dtp; 24 lb.; Bermuda blue
  • Majestic Linen dtp; 28 lb.; gray
  • Parchment dtp; 24 lb.; off white
